Legacy Athletic Center
Train. Achieve. Become More. Four words that say everything.
THE SITUATION
After building a successful boutique spin studio and loyal following in Manteca, the owner was ready to take the concept to another level. Her vision was a full-scale, high-end athletic center in Ripon: Legacy Athletic Center.
The old brand had earned its stripes, but it couldn't carry the new vision on its own. The challenge wasn't just a new name. It was building an identity substantial enough to match a space designed to feel less like a gym and more like a retreat, one strong enough to make people want to train there, and want to be seen wearing the brand outside of it.
HOW WE APPROACHED IT
With the name and vision already set, our job was to build the brand system that could carry it: a new logo, a typography system built specifically for the inspirational quotes woven throughout the space, and TAB Collective, a full apparel line designed to feel as premium as the facility itself.
Every piece works together on purpose. The typography turns the quotes on the walls into moments that stop people mid-workout and motivate them to push further. The identity system carries that same energy onto apparel, equipment, and signage, so the brand feels consistent whether someone is walking through the door or walking down the street in Legacy gear. That's the real test of a brand: not just recognition, but desire. People don't just remember this one. They want to wear it.
We built the brand as a system, not a single treatment: flexible enough to live everywhere from wall graphics to apparel, and scalable by design from day one. The execution on the ground brought it fully to life, turning the space itself into an atmosphere that feels more like a luxurious spa than a typical gym, exactly the kind of environment the brand promises.
THE RESULT
Legacy launched with a premium, motivating identity that didn't just survive a major transition. It thrived. The original community that had followed the brand from RIDE 209 stayed loyal, while a broader, new audience discovered what it had become.
Eight years into the partnership, the brand keeps doing what strong brands are supposed to do: create an atmosphere people want to train in, quotes that push them to keep going, and apparel they're proud to put on. That's what real brand equity looks like when the strategy, the design, and the execution all pull in the same direction.
